"When the music changes, so does the dance." - African Proverb Thanksgiving is approaching us, and the holidays are near! We'd like to introduce our Student of the Month, Benny! He's a first grader at Lone Oak Elementary School and studies with Brittney Washam. He has been playing since July, but shows great excitement and improvement constantly. He started playing because he thought it would be fun; after four months, he still thinks it is! His favorite piece so far is the "Can-Can." Jenna is home-schooled and is in the 6th grade. She has been playing violin for five years, and studies with both Kathy Gardner and Josh Coffey. Her favorite music to play is classical, especially from the Suzuki method. Her favorite piece is the Bach Concerto for Two Violins. She is a seventh grader at St. Mary Middle School, and has been playing the viola for a little less than a year. She has been playing cello since December and takes lessons from Brittney Washam here at Symphony Supply. Scout was intrigued with cello after watching the movie, "If I Stay," where she heard a cello being played and instantly wanted to learn for herself.
